Motorized shades affect wiring, pockets, fascia, brackets, controls, fabric choice, privacy, light control, and installation access. FDO helps designers and project teams evaluate those details while there is still time to make clean decisions.

Plan functional shades alongside custom drapery, or review compatible motorization for custom Roman shades and drapery tracks. Fabric, treatment construction, power, and control requirements are confirmed for the selected system. Discuss Your Window Package before finalizing the scope.

When should we involve FDO in a motorized shade project?

Bring us in while treatment selections, power, pockets, and mounting details are still being planned. For an existing interior, share photographs and available dimensions so we can review the site conditions. You do not need every decision finalized to discuss a project.

How do you help us choose between battery and hardwired shades?

We review the selected shade system, construction stage, available power, mounting conditions, and access for ongoing maintenance. The power approach is confirmed for the proposed treatment before ordering, with electrical and low-voltage requirements coordinated with the electrician.

Do you offer motorization options beyond Lutron?

Yes. FDO offers Lutron shading systems and other motorization options. We review the treatment type, fabric, mounting conditions, and intended controls before recommending a suitable system. Compatibility is confirmed for the specific project rather than assumed across brands.

Who is responsible for measuring, installation, and controls?

FDO can measure and install directly or coordinate those responsibilities within the approved project scope.
