For Designers Only is a trade-only custom window treatment workroom based in Vero Beach, Florida. Since 1985, we have supported interior designers, design firms, architects, and builders with in-house drapery and Roman shade fabrication, motorized shading, hard window treatments, soft goods, and installation-aware project coordination.

Our team understands both the creative and operational sides of designer-led residential work. We fabricate custom treatments in-house at our Vero Beach workroom, bringing more than 45 years of combined experience, including one team member with more than 30 years. Pattern matching and finishing are reviewed against the approved project direction.

What We Do
Custom fabrication and textiles
Our Vero Beach workroom fabricates custom drapery and Roman shades in-house. Designers can also coordinate soft goods, including pillows and lampshades, within the wider room plan.
Shading and technical planning
We support motorized shades, hard window treatments, and Lutron shading systems as an Authorized Lutron Dealer. Treatment details, power, controls, mounting, and installation scope are reviewed with the project team; electrical and integration work is coordinated with qualified specialists where needed.
From scope to installation

FDO works exclusively with interior designers, design firms, architects, builders, and qualified professional project teams. We work behind the designer and protect the designer-client relationship; we do not sell directly to retail homeowners.

How We Work
- Share the scope. Send the project city, treatment direction, available plans or photographs, specifications, and timing. Every detail need not be final.
- Review the technical requirements. We clarify dimensions, materials, hardware, mounting conditions, motorization, power, and installation access as the scope requires.
- Fabricate in Vero Beach. Approved custom work moves through our in-house workroom, with pattern matching and finishing reviewed against the approved direction.
- Coordinate installation. Measurement and installation are performed directly or arranged to fit the project location and agreed responsibilities.

Can a designer supply fabric?
Yes. Share the fabric, pattern, width, and available yardage so the workroom can review suitability and placement. FDO can also source fabric for an agreed scope.
When should FDO join a new-construction project?
Bring us in while pockets, blocking, mounting surfaces, power, hardware, and access can still be coordinated. The design team does not need a finished treatment schedule before starting the conversation.

Yes. Measurement and installation are performed directly or coordinated according to project location, requirements, and agreed scope.
How does a trade partner begin?
